Online Banking Registration

Online Banking and our Mobile App are the next evolution in your Gain experience. Here's how to get signed up!

Step 1

Click "Individual Registration" in the Online Banking login box found in the header of every page of GainFCU.com.

Step 2

After agreeing to our Online Banking disclosures, you'll need to choose your banking relationship. On this page, let us know if you will be joining as the sole or primary Member on an account, as a joint on someone else's account, or as a Business Member.

Next we'll get to know you! You'll need all of the details pictured in the image including your Social Security Number, Member Number (without leading zeroes), Zip Code, Home Phone, Birthdate, and email address.

Now scroll down the page a bit, and we'll set up your credentials. You'll need to choose a username and password. Be sure to make a strong password. We'll also set up security questions.

Step 4

You'll be shown a masked version of the email address we have associated with your account. Make sure it's correct and click "Send Security Code." If the email address is not correct, you will need to contact us to make an adjustment. All of our contact options are listed at GainFCU.com/Contact.

Step 5

A special one-time security code will be sent to the email address you have on file with the credit union. Retrieve this code from your email and enter it on this screen to authenticate your identity.

Step 6

Next, you have an opportunity to freshen up your email details. If you'd like to make a change from the email you used to authenticate, now's the time! You'll also be asked to create three security questions with answers.

And with that, you're in! Welcome to the future with Online Banking!

Finding Your Member Number

  • How do I find my Member number?
    • Your Member number is on the physical Signature Card or Member Number card you received at the time you opened your Gain account.
    • Online signups can find their Member number on the Signature Card or Direct Deposit form of their Membership materials (via DocuSign).
    • On each account you hold, your Member number consists of the numbers in advance of the suffix (ex. If you see "1234-56", then your Member number is "1234."
      • In Online & Mobile Banking via browser (until September 5th, 2025) click "Routing & Account Numbers" under "Accounts." 
      • In Online & Mobile Banking via app (until September 5th, 2025) click "Credit Score & More" to retrieve your account number.
      • In Online Banking (after September 8th, 2025) via browser, you will see a masked version of each account number. Click the eye icon to reveal it. 
      • In our Online Banking Mobile App (after September 8th, 2025), click on a deposit or loan account, then click on the button for Account Details. You will see a masked account number. Click the "Show" button to unmask.
    • If you require assistance in finding your Member number, call us at (818) 846-1710 or toll-free at (800) 622-3328.

Online Banking - Username Requirements

Your username: 

  • Must be between 5-20 characters.
  • May include alpha, numeric or special characters.
  • Cannot be the same as your Tax ID #/SSN or account number with Gain Federal Credit Union.
  • Is case sensitive.

Online Banking - Password Requirements

Your password: 

  • Must be at least 8 characters long.
  • Must contain at least 1 numeric, 1 alpha, and 1 special character.
  • Cannot be the same as your Username.
  • Must be different from any password used in the last 12 months.
  • Must be different from any of your last 12 passwords used.
  • Is case sensitive

TIPS FOR STRONG PASSWORDS:

  • Try using special characters in place of letters. (e.g. use symbols like @or ! in place of "a", "e", "i", "o" or "u"
  • Try not to use dictionary words. They are easy to guess.
  • Avoid using passwords based upon your name, address, or other personal information.
